It's the little things...even little gross things..

Today I will digest all I eat. I will be mindful about my food choices, and I will enjoy every thing I eat.
It's the little gifts of recovery that keep me on the right path. Today I want to say I am grateful that my pee doesn't smell like a nursing home. I was so dehydrated for so long. It's gross but I had the nastiest smelling pee. No more, just normal hydrated pee. Sorry if it grosses anyone out. I just gotta keep it real

I'm not grossed out at all and am wondering if that happened to me recently... my urine did smell weird too but I didn't attribute it to being dehydrated! Bet that was it, no matter how much water I drank during day when I was "good", it doesn't make for absorbing nothing in the evening when being "bad". Way to keep it real Begin :-) love your posts!

How are you today urge wise?

I am okay, can't believe its days 3! I'm going to help my mother this morning and will treat myself to a muffin for breakfast that I will enjoy. I am being mindful right now and will be accountable for what I eat today.

D,
Thanks for not being grossed out. I think posting that kind of stuff can be a symbol I have a lighter heart regarding my situation. I am reflective and irreverent which mirrors my approach to life in general.
Day three for you. This is such great progress. Urge wise today I am at about a one or two if we had a ten point spread. It's early here and I am busy with chores around the house. My tough time is evening and night.
Today I am haunted by a ten mile long to do list. I think this guilt for not doing enough or being enough is bull----. I am trying to separate myself from the negative self talk. I hope you are able to do the same. The voices that say we are not enough really are ghost of the past, the same voices that scarred us into choosing addiction over the present moment.
Enjoy your mom and your muffin.
I have a dog that I am convinced is mad at me..crazy...
Love,
P
