Hi - I'm new here

Posted in Group:

I've been trying to find Bulimia support groups & this one seemed like the best. I'm not sure on how this works. But I hope that I get some good support and know that I'm always up for supporting any of you. I've been Bulimic for a while now. I had Anorexia in my past. I was really bad. Then became an alcoholic & did a lot of bad things. I got over that. It made me gain a lot of weight. I started throwing up my food now and then. Now it's been an almost everyday thing for about a year now. I see myself changing, inside and out. & I hate it. I hate that I have this disorder. I feel like a failure. I feel like going from Anorexia to Bulimia is just pathetic for me to do. I feel like I would rather be Anorexic again. But I know I can't go back to that hell. So I stick with this. I don't know how to stop. I've never really gotten help for my eating disorders. Just the alcoholism. Now I don't know what to do. I want to get better. I try everyday. But fail.

Hi,
Man what a roller coaster you are on. I'm sorry that the ghost of addictions just shape shifts all around your essence. I understand. Some call it the "hungry ghost". My ghost shape shifts between bulimia, binge eating, and money issues. Silly ghost it wants to be heard.
Let me assure you that this is a pro-recovery site. Sharing your fears, your goals, and the ups and downs of facing it all really helps.
I am so grateful for the forum to post daily my commitment to recovery. I am so proud to say I have almost a week of freedom from bulimia. It's been long time since I could say that.
You can be heard, understood and supported right here. Together with other tools I'm sure you have from you journey, you can give the ghost a voice, but lesson their damage on your precious life.
P

Aw, thank you so much. This sounds like it can really help me. It already has :) I'm hoping to go all day without it. I think I can do it! I'm really looking forward to being apart of this recovery group!
