Feeling Alone...

Posted in Group:

I am feeling very alone. I'm living in a place far away from home, and I feel like I have no friends or support. I think about cutting quite often....I feel sad. I have been submerging myself into my school work and trying to just numb how I feel....how is the best way to get rid of this lonliness?

Try to stay busy, and call home when you can. Find somewhere you can go to meet people that have the same intrests as you. Girl don't cut yourself! Go scream at the top of your lungs. Tommrow is a new day, a new start.

Being away from home is hard especially because it means losing your support system. It takes time to build a new support system when you move away so give yourself some time to make new friends. Try a club or someone from class. Submerging yourself in school work is a great way to distract yourself but it's cutting you off from the support you need. Even if you're going to submerge yourself why not find or make a study group?

school is probably the best way to meet people when you move. And it might seem strange at first, but there's always going to be at least one person who understands, and you can build from there.

Expect problems and eat them for breakfast.
