Hey everyone, just joined this site and wondering if anyone else out there is suffering from infertility secondary to having an eating disorder that has messed up their hormones?? I havnt had a period in 6 years and now that I am married and ready for children, I cannot conceive :( Hoping and praying for a turnaround sooner than later!!

I would suggest talking to a fertility specialist ASAP to see what can be done regarding establishing a regular cycle. Also, if you are currently still struggling with an eating disorder, therapy and nutritional counseling is a must. Your body cannot regulate and achieve a pregnancy if it is being starved.

Wishing you strength to achieve your dreams!

Thanks, yea I have talked to an OB and she wants to see me gain some more weight before starting fertility drugs. I have seen a therapist and nutritional conselor, I am just still working on gaining weight. I just fear that no matter how much I gain, that it's too late and I've done too much damage?! On a different note, does anyone know if coffee really does hinder me from regulating my hormones again? I am low in Estrogen and have heard that, and if so I need to quit the java I guess!
